Meet Winston Kipruto
Winston knows safari from the ground up, how to read the landscape, track wildlife, choose the right locations and create journeys around each guest.
Trained at Kenya Utalii College and shaped by more than 15 years in East Africa’s safari industry, he personally leads and oversees journeys with a trusted team of experienced local guides. Many come from communities bordering Kenya’s wildlife areas, including Maasai and Samburu communities, bringing generations of local knowledge and a deep connection to the land.

For Winston, safari is not a product. It is personal.
Growing up in rural Kenya, Winston remembers a moment that stayed with him. Two safari buses carrying travelers from Canada arrived unexpectedly at his family home. His father welcomed them in, prepared a traditional feast, and opened the family home to complete strangers.
That simple act of hospitality shaped Winston’s view of travel: strangers can become friends when they share a table, stories and a genuine welcome.
Today, he brings that same spirit to every guest who travels with Kipruto Safaris.
