Your Journey Into the Mara
Day 1 — Nairobi to Olare Motorogi Conservancy
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel.
Your private transfer takes you to Wilson Airport, Nairobi’s main safari airport, where you board your scheduled flight to Olseki Airstrip in the Masai Mara.
The flight takes less than an hour, and as Nairobi disappears behind you, the landscape gradually changes to the rolling plains of the Mara.
On arrival at Olseki Airstrip, your safari guide will be waiting for you.
And this is where your safari truly begins.
Rather than driving straight to camp, you will set off on a guided game drive through Olare Motorogi Conservancy, making your way towards Olare Mara Kempinski. Your first sightings could include elephants, giraffes, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest or one of the Mara’s famous big cats.
Arrive at camp for lunch and settle into your luxury safari tent.

Afternoon Game Drive
After lunch and some time to relax, head out for your first dedicated afternoon game drive.
Olare Motorogi is known for its rich wildlife and relatively low vehicle density, allowing for a more intimate game-viewing experience. The conservancy is particularly renowned for its concentration of big cats and its open wilderness landscape.
As the afternoon cools, follow the wildlife before returning to camp around sunset.
Dinner is served at camp, followed by an evening around the fire beneath the African sky.
Overnight: Olare Mara Kempinski
Meals: Lunch and dinner
Activities: Flight, conservancy game drive and afternoon game drive
Day 2 — Walking Safari & The Mara After Dark
Begin the day with an experience that allows you to see the Mara from a completely different perspective.
Guided Walking Safari
After an early breakfast, head out on a guided walking safari with an experienced guide.
Away from the vehicle, the focus shifts from searching for the biggest animals to understanding the smaller details of the wilderness — animal tracks, insects, birds, plants and the subtle signs that tell you what has passed through the area.
It is a slower and more immersive way to experience the African bush.
Return to camp for lunch and a relaxed afternoon.
Evening & Night Game Drive
Later in the afternoon, head out again for a guided game drive.
As darkness falls, continue into the night for one of the most memorable experiences of staying in a private conservancy: a night game drive.
The Mara changes dramatically after sunset. Lions and leopards become more active, while nocturnal animals such as bush babies, genets, hares and other elusive creatures emerge.
With a spotlight and the guidance of your safari guide, the darkness becomes part of the experience rather than something to retreat from.
Return to camp for dinner.
Overnight: Olare Mara Kempinski
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Activities: Guided walking safari, afternoon game drive and night game drive
Day 3 — Above the Mara & Sunset on the Plains
Today is yours to experience the Mara at your own pace.
Optional Hot-Air Balloon Safari
For an unforgettable start to the morning, you may choose to add a hot-air balloon safari.
Rise before dawn and take to the skies as the first light reaches the Mara. From above, the landscape opens into a vast mosaic of grasslands, rivers, woodland and wildlife.
After landing, enjoy a bush breakfast before returning to camp.
The balloon safari is optional and subject to availability and weather conditions.
A Slow Morning at Camp
Return to Olare Mara Kempinski and enjoy some time at camp.
You may choose to relax on your private deck, enjoy the swimming pool, indulge in a treatment or simply take in the sounds of the wilderness around you.
Lunch is served at camp.
Afternoon Game Drive & Sundowner
In the afternoon, head out with your guide for another game drive.
Because every safari is different, the route is guided by wildlife movements and your interests. Your guide may spend more time with a pride of lions, search for a leopard, follow elephants across the plains or find a quiet location for photography.
As the sun begins to set, stop for a Mara sundowner.
Raise a glass as the sky changes colour over the endless grasslands, one of those simple safari moments that stays with you long after you leave Kenya.

Return to camp for dinner.
Overnight: Olare Mara Kempinski
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Activities: Optional balloon safari, game drive and sundowner
Day 4 — Final Morning in the Mara & Return to Nairobi
Your final morning begins with one last opportunity to explore Olare Motorogi Conservancy.
Set out early with your guide when the Mara is at its most active and the morning light is at its best for photography.
This final drive is intentionally flexible. Perhaps there is a particular species you still hope to see, or perhaps you simply want to enjoy one last quiet drive through the wilderness.
Return to camp for breakfast.
Depending on your confirmed flight schedule, you will have time to relax at camp before lunch.
Enjoy your final lunch at Olare Mara Kempinski before transferring to Olseki Airstrip for your flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
If your itinerary continues beyond Nairobi, we can arrange onward transfers and accommodation as required.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch
Activities: Final morning game drive, lunch and flight to Nairobi

Why Olare Motorogi Conservancy?
The setting is an important part of what makes this safari different.
Olare Motorogi Conservancy covers approximately 35,000 acres of rolling grassland, hills and plains and is known for year-round wildlife viewing, a particularly strong concentration of big cats and more than 300 bird species. The conservancy also limits tourism numbers and vehicle density to protect the wilderness experience.
Unlike the main Masai Mara National Reserve, conservancies such as Olare Motorogi allow experiences such as night game drives and guided walking safaris, creating a broader and more intimate safari experience.
For travellers who value space, privacy and time in the wilderness, this makes Olare Motorogi an exceptional choice.
