DAY 1 — NAIROBI TO AMBOSELI

Fly Into Elephant Country

Your Amboseli Escape begins with a private morning transfer from your Nairobi hotel to Wilson Airport.

Board your morning flight south towards Amboseli, leaving the city behind as the landscape gradually changes to the open plains of southern Kenya.

On arrival at the Amboseli airstrip, your private safari guide will meet you and begin your journey towards Tortilis Camp.

Rather than simply driving straight to camp, your transfer becomes your first taste of the Amboseli wilderness, with a guided game drive en route.

Keep your camera ready. The open plains can reveal elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife as you make your way towards camp.

Arrive at Tortilis Camp in the late morning and settle into your luxury tent.

Lunch at Tortilis

Enjoy lunch at camp before taking some time to relax and settle into your surroundings.

Tortilis is designed to blend into the landscape, offering a classic under-canvas safari experience with a distinctly luxurious feel.

Afternoon Game Drive

Later in the afternoon, head out for your first dedicated guided game drive in Amboseli National Park.

DAY 2 — AMBOSELI AT ITS BEST

Today is yours to experience Amboseli at your own pace.

Option 1 — Full-Day Safari

For guests who want to maximize their time in the wilderness, enjoy an optional full-day guided game drive.

After an early breakfast, set out into Amboseli with a picnic lunch.

The morning light can be particularly beautiful for photography, and early hours often offer excellent wildlife viewing.

Explore the park’s different habitats with your guide, looking for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and the many bird species found throughout the Amboseli ecosystem.

Take your picnic lunch in a scenic location before continuing your exploration.

Afternoon Walking Safari

Later in the afternoon, experience Amboseli from a completely different perspective.

Leave the safari vehicle behind and join your guide for a guided walking safari within the conservancy.

Walking allows you to slow down and notice the details of the landscape — animal tracks, plants, birds and the smaller signs of life that are easily missed from a vehicle.

It is an intimate way to experience the wilderness and an excellent complement to the traditional game drive.

Return to camp for dinner.

DAY 3 — LAST MORNING IN AMBOSELI & FLY TO NAIROBI

After breakfast, prepare for your departure.

Depending on your flight schedule, there may be an opportunity for a final short game drive or a relaxed transfer towards the airstrip.

This is your last chance to take in the Amboseli landscape — perhaps with one more elephant sighting or, if the skies are clear, one final view of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.

On arrival at Wilson Airport, your private transfer will take you to your Nairobi hotel, airport or onward connection.
