BOOKING & REFUND POLICY

At Kipruto Safaris, we are dedicated to providing our guests with seamless, memorable safari experiences. We also understand that travel plans may change. The following terms ensure clarity, fairness, and peace of mind for all our guests while allowing us to deliver exceptional service.

  1. Booking Confirmation and Deposit

A 20% deposit of the total safari cost is required to confirm and secure your reservation. This deposit enables us to pre-book lodges, park entries, and transport services on your behalf. Once received, the deposit is non-refundable. The remaining 80% balance is due at least 45 days before your safari start date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Note: The non-refundable deposit safeguards against late cancellations and ensures your safari arrangements remain guaranteed with our service partners.

  1. Cancellations and Refunds

Should you need to cancel your safari, please notify us in writing. Refunds will be made according to the schedule below:

  1. Cancellation 60 days or more before departure: The 20% deposit remains non-refundable. All additional payments made will be refunded in full (minus bank or transfer fees). Alternatively, the full amount (including deposit) may be applied as credit toward a future safari within 12 months.
  1. Cancellation 30–59 days before departure: 50% of the total safari cost will be refunded. Or, apply 75% of your payment as credit toward a future safari within 12 months. 
  1. Cancellation 15–29 days before departure: 30% refund of the total safari cost. Or, apply 50% of your payment as credit toward a future safari within 12 months.
  1. Cancellation less than 14 days before departure: Payments are generally non-refundable due to prior commitments to our partners. However, Kipruto Safaris will make every effort to recover partial refunds or issue credit where possible.
  1. Rescheduling and Trip Credits

We offer flexible rescheduling with no penalty if notified at least 15 days before departure. Credit may be used within 12 months of your original travel date. Credits can be transferred to another traveler with prior written notice.

  1. No-Shows and Early Departures

In the event of a no-show or early departure, refunds cannot be provided for unused services. Kipruto Safaris will, however, assist in rescheduling where feasible.

  1. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days from the date of the written cancellation notice. All refunds are made via the original payment method and are net of bank, card, or transfer fees.

  1. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events)

In cases where travel becomes impossible due to circumstances beyond control—such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or flight disruptions—Kipruto Safaris will offer full credit toward a future safari or a partial refund, subject to supplier policies at the time.

  1. Legal Clause

This policy forms an integral part of the Booking Agreement between Kipruto Safaris. and the guest(s). By confirming a booking and making payment, the guest acknowledges and accepts the terms outlined herein.
